Bus Replaces the Train Between Vattholma and Uppsala

During the weekend of September 10-11 the Upptåget train will be replaced on the Vattholma - Uppsala route by bus due to railway works north of Uppsala.

In order to move the train service over to the new railway bridge across Tycho Hedéns våg, all train services on the Vattholma - Uppsala route will be shut down on September 10 and 11. For passengers using the Upptåget train this means that replacement buses will operate from Vattholma and Uppsala.

The Upptåget train goes on the Tierp - Storvreta route but it is not possible to turn buses at Storvreta station which is why all replacement buses will go to and from Vattholma.

The first Upptåget train that is affected is the departure from Gåvle at 23.07 and Tierp at 23.43. The train will be replaced by bus which departs from Vattholma to Uppsala at 00.08.

All trains during Saturday, September 10 and Sunday, September 11 will be replaced by bus on the Vattholma - Uppsala route. From Vattholma the replacement buses depart immediately after all passengers have boarded the buses. From Uppsala the replacement buses depart from bus stop C1 15 minutes before the train’s usual departure time. Between Vattholma and Tierp the Upptåget train will be in accordance with the usual timetable.

A few departures will also be affected on the night of Monday September 12. These are the departure from Gåvle at 23.07 and from Uppsala at 00.09 and 01.09.

Detailed information about the replacement service are available on UL’s website.

Uppsala - Storvreta travel will be directed to the regular bus service on lines 110 and 115.

Travel by the Upptåget train on the Tierp - Storvreta route and reverse will not be affected.

The Upptåget train service on the Uppsala - Sala route will not be affected by the railway work on September 10-11.
