Wheelchairs and walkers
Assistive devices such as wheelchairs and walkers are always fine to take on your trip, provided that the equipment and space on board allow it. Most buses are equipped with a ramp. On some buses, the ramp is automatically folded out by the driver at the push of a button. If the bus does not have an automatic ramp, there is a manual ramp on board that the driver must deploy when necessary. There are also buses (Mohlins) that have a lift instead. Maximum dimensions and weights can be found in the table below. Electric mopeds/scooters with handlebars, all-terrain vehicles or similar may not be taken on our buses and trains.
Wheelchairs on buses
• Maximum weight for a person plus wheelchair and walker – 250 kg.
• The biggest dimensions for wheelchairs are 120 cm long and 70 cm wide.
• Buses with assigned spaces for wheelchairs feature restraint devices. Please ask the bus driver to help fasten your wheelchair.
