Purchasing on Board

Debit/credit cards

On board UL's buses, you can buy both UL and UL+SL tickets with Visa or MasterCard payment cards.

All school buses have a ticket machine where you can buy a ticket with travel money or swipe your period ticket. App tickets can also be validated on the bus. We cannot currently guarantee that you can pay with a debit card on all school routes as only a few of the buses have a debit card terminal.

On board SL's lines 677 and 593, you can only buy an SL single ticket with contactless payment cards. If you need a UL ticket, you must purchase it by other means before boarding. Read more about trips across county borders.

On Mälartåg and the SL shuttle it is not possible to buy tickets on board.

Cash-Free

It is cash-free on board on our buses and trains.
