We keep our promises
However, there are certain exceptions where the travel guarantee does not apply:
■ If the trip is canceled due to strike or other industrial dispute
■ If all train traffic is canceled due to major blackout
■ If virtually all road and rail traffic is stopped due to weather conditions
■ Planned disruption and cancellation of bus and train services announced by UL on our website ul.se no later than 15:00 the day prior
The change entails that the travel guarantee applies to "normal" inclement weather.
As of June 16, 2002, the UL travel guarantee applies to all traffic. Should you ever feel that we have failed to deliver what we have promised, you are entitled to compensation thanks to the UL travel guarantee.
We keep our promises
If errors on our timetables or other informational material result in your trip being complicated or prevented, we will give you a ticket that is valid for one day's travel.
One-day tickets are valid on Regiontrafiken, as well as Upptåget and Stadstrafiken in Uppsala.
We pay if you risk being late
If you risk arriving at your destination more than 20 minutes late because we do not deliver what we promise, we will provide you with compensation for a taxi you arrange on your own. Choose from up to SEK 400 in cash compensation upon presentation of your receipt, or a voucher of up to 450 SEK valid towards the purchase of tickets (vouchers are NOT valid towards the purchase of the UL/SL-card).
UL's travel guarantee does not apply to any additional costs.
Cash compensation
If you traveled on a single ticket, you are entitled to cash compensation as follows:
• If you were delayed by 60-119 minutes, you can be reimbursed 25% of the ticket price.
• If you were more than 120 minutes late, you can be reimbursed 50% of the ticket price.
You may also choose to receive compensation in the form of a ticket valid for one day's travel.
Send in your single ticket along with the travel guarantee found here on the UL website to apply for cash compensation.
Cash compensation is provided only for amounts over SEK 35.
In order to receive compensation, fill in the reply card included in the travel guarantee brochure (brochure include an on board our buses and Upptåget) or an equivalent form available here on UL's website.
In order to be able to pay your claim, we must receive it within 2 weeks of the incident. You must e able to provide evidence of your trip.
Exceptions to the travel guarantee
When circumstances arise that are not under UL's control, such as:
■ When traffic is stopped by extreme weather conditions such as snowstorms, etc. This also applies if a road cannot be driven due to bad road conditions or a traffic accident.
■ In the event of a strike.
■ In the event of planned traffic changes announced no later than 15:00 on the day prior.
