This Is How the Upptåget Train Service Will Be Affected by Rail Works in Gamla Uppsala
During the spring the Swedish Transport Administration continues with the work to connect the double-track railway past Gamla Uppsala. Since the rail is closed to train services the Upptåget train will be replaced by bus between Vattholm and Uppsala – line 999. From the north the Upptåget train will go to Storvreta where a change can be made to 110 and 115.
The reason for the replacement buses running to and from Vattholma is that it is not possible to turn the buses at Storvreta Station. The buses will depart from stop X in Vattholma and stop C1 in Uppsala. Buses from Uppsala C will depart 15 minutes before the train’s usual departure time.
For wheelchair-bound customers it will be possible to order a taxi the day before via UL Customer Service.
Night on April 24-28 (Monday-Friday)
Uppsala - Vattholma
The departure at 23.07 from Gåvle will be replaced by bus on the Vattholma - Uppsala route. The replacement bus will depart from 00.08 from Vattholma. The bus will continue to Upplands Våsby with stops in Knivsta and Arlanda for alighting.
The departure at 03.09 from Gåvle will be replaced by bus on the Vattholma - Uppsala route. The replacement bus will depart from 04.08 from Vattholma.
The departure at 04.13 from Tierp will be replaced by bus on the Vattholma - Uppsala route. The replacement bus will depart from 04.38 from Vattholma.
Note that the journey will take longer since the bus driving time is longer than the train’s.
Uppsala - Vattholma
The departure at 00.09 from Uppsala will be replaced by bus on the Uppsala - Vattholma route. The bus will depart at 23.54 from Uppsala.
The departures at 01.12 from Uppsala will be replaced by bus on the Uppsala - Vattholma route. The bus will depart at 00.57 from Uppsala.
Buses will depart 25 minutes before the train’s usual departure time from stop C1.
To Storvreta from Gåvle
The Upptåget train will go to Storvreta where a change to lines 110 and 115 will be possible for onward travel to Uppsala.
Between Storvreta and Uppsala
Choose regular lines 110 and 115.
The departure at 04.10 from Storvreta will be replaced by taxi at 04.00 to Uppsala.
Night on May 2-5 (Monday-Friday)
Uppsala - Vattholma
The departure at 23.07 from Gåvle will be replaced by bus on the Vattholma - Uppsala route. The replacement bus will depart at 00.08 from Vattholma.
The bus will continue to Upplands Våsby with stops in Knivsta and Arlanda for alighting.
The departure at 03.09 from Gåvle will be replaced by bus on the Vattholma - Uppsala route. The replacement bus will depart from 04.08 from Vattholma.

The departure at 03.09 from Gåvle and 04.43 from Tierp will be replaced from Skyttorp at 04.04 and 05.04.
The replacement bus from Vattholma at 00.08 will continue to Upplands Våsby with stops in Knivsta and Arlanda for alighting.
The replacement bus from Vattholma and at 01.00 will continue to Upplands Våsby with stops in Knivsta and Arlanda for alighting and boarding.
The replacement bus from Skyttorp at 04.04 will continue to Arlanda with stops in Knivsta for alighting and boarding.

Uppsala - Vattholma
